COTTAGE

Elderbank cottage is a detached property in large mature gardens with living room , family room, kitchen diner, 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and 1 shower room.  Located on the stunning west coast of the Scottish Highlands within walking distance to fabulous beaches and 8 miles from the fishing village of Lochinver

Accommodation comprises: entrance porch leading to the living room with wood burning stove, large sofas and patio doors. A door to the left leads to a second sitting room/family room. This room is open plan leading to a ground floor bedroom with a king size sleigh bed and en-suite shower room.  The shower room can also be accessed from the hallway.  Through the main living room is a hallway which leads to the stairs, fully equipped dining kitchen, shower room and back door. To the first floor is a large bedroom with king size bed and views of the garden and Loch Na Claise beyond. The twin bedded room has solid oak beds and along with the landing share similar views to the king room.  A modern second bathroom completes the first floor.

We have also equipped the house with books and games, DVDs, and a Wii console in the family room for rainy days or evenings in.

GARDEN

The woodland garden sits in approximately 3/4 acre with winding pathways among the trees and shrubs.  There is ample parking on the gravel driveway and a seating area is to the side of the house. A small stream runs through the garden to join the loch beyond. The previous owners spent many years creating a magical garden which is now a haven for wildlife.  You can watch the many birds and other wildlife from the living room.  A willow tunnel and small tree den can be found near the bottom of the garden along with a hammock among the trees.   Apples, pears, plums and raspberries can be enjoyed  in season from the garden.
